How is CardScan for CRM different from other CardScan products?
Each CardScan for CRM product was designed to simplify data input, increase user adoption and improve data quality. These tools are tightly integrated with the CRM system to detect duplicates, ensure accuracy and completeness, and simplify routine tasks. Overall, our customers report significant improvements in their CRM system performance and impressive increases in productivity.

What is the difference between CardScan for CRM and CardScan Executive/Personal?

CardScan Executive and CardScan Personal were designed to be the primary contact manager for their users. CardScan for CRM assumes that you will be using your CRM system as your primary contact manager, and therefore focuses its features on capturing and transferring accurate and clean data into your system. CardScan for CRM products do not include contact databases of their own.

What are CardScan for CRM Product Keys?
A Product Key allows users to activate CardScan for CRM 4.0 software. When your company purchased CardScan for CRM, you bought CardScan for CRM software User Licenses - usually in quantities of 1, 5, 10, 25 or more. The Product Key contains a code that "unlocks" or activates the corresponding number of user licenses. Each user within the company wiill use exactly the same product key for installation.

Why would I buy more user licenses than scanners?
The software application allows users to capture contact data from various sources including e-mail signatures and web sites. Many of our customers use the software almost daily, then share a scanner for the times they get business cards.

How can I add more users to my installation?

Can I use my existing scanner?
CardScan for CRM products support CardScan Model 700c and 800c scanners.

Can I get a trial version of the software?
Upon request, CardScan will allow prospective users to download the software for a 30 day limited evaluation of the product. Please call 1.800.640.6944 to request a trial version.

Does the image of the business card get transferred?
Users can set Preferences to have the images (front and back) transferred with the contact data to any record that supports attachments. These JPG files are typically less than 30k each.

Can I add extra fields such as Territory?
Yes. Administrators can customize the user interface to include up to 10 CRM fields for each entity (Lead, Contact, Account).

Can I assign Leads or Contacts to other CRM users?
Yes. CardScan for CRM allows you to transfer ownership to other licensed CardScan for CRM users.

Does CardScan for CRM work with CardScan LeadQualifier?
Yes. CardScan for CRM 4.0 gives the capability to map custom fields from LeadQualifier to CardScan for CRM. Simply import the LeadQualifier database into CardScan for CRM for seamless capture of all of the contact and qualification data
