DYMO File™ Software:  Three Easy Steps

Compatible with most all-in-one or large copiers/scanners with automatic document feeders, which many SOHOs and SMBs already own, DYMO File™ software allows users to scan and file many documents at one time in three simple steps:

  1. Choose filing options for your document
    Specify the file name, location and file type (such as PDF, or Microsoft® Word) using the easy-to-use DYMO File™ interface.  A unique barcode is then automatically created for the document.

  2. Print the barcode
    Print the barcode on small self-adhesive labels from a DYMO® LabelWriter® printer for an optimal user experience.  Apply the barcode to the document, or the first page of a multi-page document.  Alternatively, barcodes can be printed on plain paper to serve as a cover sheet. This process of creating files and barcodes continues for the entire stack of documents – all from the user’s desktop.

  3. Scan all documents – DYMO File™ does the rest
    Place the stack of barcoded documents in the scanner’s automatic document feeder and scan all at once.  DYMO File’s™ technology reads each barcode and automatically files each document with the name, file type and in the folder specified by the user in step one. Because DYMO File™ software performs the filing function automatically, the user can simply leave the stack to scan and DYMO File™ does the rest.
